The Tax Accountant at Base is responsible for managing the company's tax compliance and reporting functions, including the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns and overseeing the tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740. This role serves as the primary contact for audits, develops strategies for optimizing the tax position, and collaborates with various departments on R&D tax credits and renewable energy incentives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax regulations and experience in renewable energy or utility industries, using tax preparation software and ERP systems effectively.
