BES Fellowship and School Leadership Opportunities
About this role
The BES Fellowship for Founding School Leaders in Rhode Island is a multi-year program that trains and supports experienced educators to design, found, and lead high-performing public charter schools. Fellows complete an intensive training year (August 2026–July 2027) followed by multi-year follow-on coaching and support to develop charter applications, establish founding boards, hire staff, and launch their inaugural class. The program emphasizes community-responsive school models, equity, and long-term leadership commitment. Applicants are encouraged to propose schools in regions such as Providence or Pawtucket and must demonstrate knowledge of the Rhode Island authorization process.
