The theatre serves as an incubator for emerging artists, a presenter of world‑class talent, and a catalyst for the revitalization of downtown Columbus. --- ## Position Overview The Lincoln Theatre Association seeks a **dependable, safety‑mind‑ed Stagehand** to support rehearsals, performances, rentals, educational programs, load‑ins, load‑outs, and special events across the theatre and its associated spaces. This is a fully on‑site, event‑driven role that requires evening, weekend, holiday, and variable call‑time availability. ### Key Responsibilities | Category | Duties | |----------|--------| | **Call Preparation & Communication** | • Review call sheets, stage plots, run‑of‑show docs, and venue instructions.
• Arrive on time, dressed in required workwear & PPE.
• Communicate any safety concerns or conflicts to production leadership. | | **Load‑In, Stage Setup & Changeovers** | • Unload, move, stage, and load production equipment using safe lifting techniques.
• Assist with risers, platforms, tables, chairs, drapes, cable ramps, simple scenic elements, props, etc.
• Provide basic support to audio, lighting, video, and scenic departments. | | **Rehearsal & Performance Support** | • Follow cues from Stage Manager/Technical Director.
• Move props, scenic pieces, stands, cables, etc., while maintaining quiet backstage operations.
• Monitor work areas for hazards and report/correct them. | | **Strike, Load‑Out & Equipment Stewardship** | • Dismantle, pack, label, and load equipment per production plan.
• Return tools, hardware, and supplies to proper storage.
• Document completed work, damage, or incidents. | | **Safety & Conduct** | • Follow all Lincoln Theatre/CAPA safety rules and emergency procedures.
• Use proper lifting, ladder, fall‑protection, and equipment‑handling practices.
• Represent the theatre professionally—punctuality, respectful communication, appropriate dress. | | **Other Duties** | • Routine cleaning, inspection, inventory, minor maintenance.
