About this role

Wellways is seeking Wellbeing Navigator Peers to join a newly established Bushfire Surge Response Team delivering mental health services in the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires. This part-time role involves leveraging lived experience to provide peer support, outreach, and navigation for individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges using the Intentional Peer Support framework. The successful candidate will work alongside participants, carers, and community members to foster hope, connection, and recovery.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges
Conduct outreach and in-reach engagements to connect participants with necessary services
Assist participants in accessing services aligned with their personal goals and strengths
Collaborate with clinical and community supports to ensure holistic care
Contribute to an inclusive workplace culture centered on lived experience
