Winter Nurse Externship

The Winter Nurse Externship at Mercy Hospital Southeast offers nursing students a paid, hands-on clinical experience during a 4-week session. Participants work approximately 36 hours per week under the direction of an RN, rotating through various units to gain real-world practice. The program is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and acute care settings while enhancing clinical skills through dedicated preceptor time.
