Youth Peer Advocates empower young people with social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges to find their voice, acquire new skills, and plan effectively with parents and service providers. The role involves mentoring, skill-building, and promoting constructive advocacy to support youth in their resiliency, recovery, and wellness journeys. Advocates work directly with children to increase skill levels, decrease challenging behaviors, and promote independence and inclusion within the community.
