Ctao
The CTAO is seeking a Commissioning and Operations Scientist to lead the commissioning of Large-Sized Telescopes at the CTAO-North site in La Palma, Spain, and subsequently support the Medium-Sized Telescopes. This role involves coordinating scientific activities, troubleshooting instrumentation, defining operational workflows, and preparing documentation for the array's science verification phase before transitioning to routine operations.
CTAO (Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory) is the international organisation delivering the Cherenkov Telescope Array, a next‑generation ground‑based gamma‑ray observatory. The CTAO Central Organisation coordinates the technological development, construction and operation of the array with the support of countries and an intergovernmental partner. CTA will provide a global facility for high‑energy astrophysics—probing cosmic particle accelerators, transient phenomena and searches for dark matter. The observatory serves the international astronomy community through coordinated instrument development, operations and science programmes.
