Construction Craft Operative, Carpenter generalist

The Canal & River Trust seeks a Craft Operative (Carpentry bias) to perform essential maintenance, repair, and construction work on historic canal infrastructure such as locks, bridges, and towpaths. Working within the Direct Services team, the role involves reading technical drawings, operating machinery safely, and collaborating with specialist teams to preserve heritage assets across the London region. This position requires an annualised hours contract including occasional weekends, bank holidays, and a 24-hour standby rota for emergency cover.
