Court Interpreter

Under supervision, this role performs a wide variety of language interpretation activities on an assigned and as-needed basis for the California Superior Trial Courts and persons doing business with the courts. The position involves interpreting verbal and written materials for defendants, judges, counsel, jurors, witnesses, and others in both simultaneous and consecutive modes. The interpreter is responsible for sight translating documents, researching legal terminology, and accurately completing daily activity logs while traveling within the county.
