Embedded Systems Department Head (FACULTY)

This role serves as the department head for the Embedded Systems Department at Penn State's Applied Research Laboratory, providing strategic direction and technical leadership for developing embedded hardware and software solutions. The incumbent will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex system integration projects, and establish partnerships with defense contractors and government laboratories to transition capabilities for operational platforms. The position may be filled as either a Research and Development Engineer or a non-tenure Research Faculty member.
