About this role

Clay is seeking an EMEA Counsel to serve as the first dedicated legal team member in the region, providing practical, business-oriented support across privacy, product, commercial, regulatory, and go-to-market matters throughout the UK and Europe. This role involves advising on European privacy and technology regulations, including GDPR and the EU AI Act, while partnering with internal teams and the U.S.-based Legal group to scale international operations. The position requires building scalable legal infrastructure and supporting enterprise sales cycles with complex customer inquiries regarding data governance and AI practices.

Responsibilities

Advise on EU, UK, and Middle East privacy and data protection requirements
Negotiate sales agreements, DPAs, customer terms, and strategic partnerships
Build scalable legal infrastructure including contract templates and playbooks
