Experienced Dispatcher

The Experienced Dispatcher performs radio and communications work in the Suffolk Police Department’s Emergency Communications Center on assigned 12-hour shifts. The role involves answering emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate personnel and equipment, and utilizing computer-aided dispatch systems to manage public safety situations. This position requires independent judgment, tact, and the ability to operate multi-line telephone systems and radio consoles.
