Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre
The Indigenous Community Council Program (ICCP) Caseworker provides intervention services to youth, families, and adults, focusing on restorative justice and accountability. The role involves case management, facilitating circles, and administering Healing & Wellness Plans within a culturally competent framework.
Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (TBIFC) is one of the original six Friendship Centres in Ontario and a founding member of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC). Based in Thunder Bay, it provides culturally grounded, client-centred supports across the life journey—helping Indigenous individuals and families access wellness, youth and family programming, employment/training, and community outreach. The centre promotes Indigenous culture, advocacy and connection to local services, aiming to improve social well‑being and access to supports for urban Indigenous populations. TBIFC works with partners and funders to deliver culturally safe programs tailored to community needs.
