About this role
A Nurse Extern (Summer 2026) is a paid summer internship for nursing students to gain hands-on clinical experience by working alongside nursing teams across multiple hospital units. The eight-week program develops assessment, critical-thinking, and professional nursing skills while exposing students to unit and hospital quality and care initiatives. Externs will participate in direct patient care and practical skill development in areas such as medical-surgical, critical care, emergency, behavioral health, women’s & children’s, and surgical services.
