Peer Specialist

The Peer Specialist provides one-to-one, person-centered counseling and support to individuals living with mental illness, substance dependence, or physical disabilities to help them achieve personal recovery and independent functioning goals. This role involves serving as a role model, advocating for clients, and facilitating community integration to reduce hospitalization and improve societal participation. The position requires building self-advocacy skills, conducting recovery planning, and connecting clients with community resources and peer-run groups.
