Pharmacist

The Pharmacist role at Kern Family Health Care supports the daily operations of the pharmacy department and maintains the prior authorization list for drugs within a Knox-Keene licensed HMO. The position involves serving as a technical resource for pharmaceutical issues, assisting providers and patients with drug-related inquiries, and contributing to the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. This role also includes developing training materials, managing treatment authorization requests, and collaborating with external partners like the DHCS’s Pharmacy Benefit Manager.
