About this role

Lightmatter is seeking a PhD candidate or recent graduate in Photonics to join the Photonics & Silicon Engineering team for a Winter 2026 internship. The role involves conducting electro-optic testing and characterization of silicon photonics components, such as micro-rings and Mach-Zehnder interferometers, using advanced optical and semiconductor test equipment. The intern will design testing protocols and develop automated testing systems using Python scripting to support the development of next-generation AI and high-performance computing infrastructure.
