About this role

The Principal Engineer will define and build the architecture for agentic AI and autonomous operations across Cisco’s networking and security portfolio. This role combines deep expertise in network management, security platforms, and distributed systems with emerging AI technologies to help operators diagnose problems faster and safely automate remediation. The position involves providing technical direction across multiple engineering teams and turning new AI capabilities into scalable, customer-facing products.

Responsibilities

Define architecture for agentic AI platforms supporting network troubleshooting and autonomous operations
Build tool-using AI agents that reason over network telemetry, configurations, and operational knowledge
