About this role

Prolific Machines is seeking a Research Associate II to join its Analytical Chemistry team and work with R&D and Bioprocess groups to quantify and characterize therapeutic proteins. The contract role, based onsite in Emeryville, CA, will involve planning and executing experiments, operating analytical instrumentation, and supporting method development for biologics characterization. The position may be extended or converted to a full‑time role after the initial six‑month term.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute protein expression experiments
Perform analytical assays for therapeutic protein characterization
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC/UPLC instrumentation
Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods
Document experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks

Qualifications
