Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

Healthy Start, in partnership with the Allegheny County Health Department’s WIC program, is seeking a full-time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to provide basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding participants. The role involves delivering competent support to WIC participants through clinic visits, phone calls, and hospital visits, while maintaining strict confidentiality and accurate records. This position focuses on health equity and supporting improved birth outcomes and family well-being within the community.
