Outreach Support Volunteer

This role supports agency staff in outreach efforts to engage and assist individuals experiencing homelessness by providing essential supplies, information, and connections to shelter and services. Volunteers accompany staff during street outreach and community walks to distribute hygiene kits, food, and clothing while offering respectful support and listening. The position involves documenting interactions, restocking supplies, and helping connect individuals to health care or case management. Volunteers receive training on trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and safety protocols to promote dignity and build trust with the community.
