ApplyBlast vs AIApply:One Plan That Does The Whole Job
AIApply sells the job search in pieces. Premium gets you the writing tools. Auto Apply, the thing the product is named after, is a separate subscription. Tailoring the applications it sends is a third. Interview Buddy is a fourth.
ApplyBlast is one plan. It searches over 10 million jobs, checks each one against your salary, location, role, seniority and experience, writes a resume, cover letter and application answers for the ones worth applying to, and submits while the posting is still fresh. And when an application is too awkward for automation to finish, a real person on our team finishes it by hand.

The short version
AIApply and ApplyBlast both promise to apply to jobs for you. The difference is how much of that you get for the price you can actually see.
AIApply’s own help centre sets out the structure. Premium is USD 29/month, and that buys the writing tools. Auto Apply is “sold as a separate subscription,” priced by how many applications you want. Auto Customize — the tailoring for the resumes and cover letters Auto Apply sends — is “an additional subscription on top of Auto Apply.” Interview Buddy is USD 19/month again. Premium is the only one with a published price, and unused credits expire if you let a plan lapse.
ApplyBlast doesn’t split any of it up.
It indexes more than 10 million jobs and finds roughly 52,000 more every day, pulled straight from company hiring systems rather than only the big boards. Each posting is checked against what actually matters to you — salary, location, role, seniority, experience and your own preferences — and when one is a real match, ApplyBlast writes a resume, cover letter and application answers for that specific role and submits while the job is still new.
It is not purely a bot, either. ApplyBlast applies across the major applicant tracking systems and handles the ones that do not fit a standard form. Anything that still cannot be completed automatically goes to a manual review queue, where a person on our team finishes the application by hand. That is the gap most auto-apply tools quietly leave open: the awkward portal, the multi-step form, the question no script was written for.
The rest comes with it: a tracker that fills itself as applications go out, saved jobs, and company research pages showing who is hiring.
And you can try it before you pay anything. The ApplyBlast job board is free to browse and search without an account, so the full index of more than 10 million jobs is open to you before you subscribe to anything. AIApply’s free plan requires an account and leaves out Auto Apply entirely.
Three subscriptionsto send one application.
Splitting a job search into a toolkit, an applying plan and a tailoring plan makes the first number look small. It doesn’t make any of the three better. It just moves most of the cost somewhere you can’t see until you are already inside.
ApplyBlast prices the finished job instead. Finding the role, judging it, writing the application and sending it are one product — because on their own, not one of them gets you an interview.
The right job
Every job is assessed according to the criteria that really matter, including role, salary, location, seniority, experience, and your preferences.
The right application
Don’t treat each job opening as identical. Depending on the individual role, you can customize your resume, cover letter, and responses to the application.
The right time
ApplyBlast pays close attention to new listings and puts its energy into them, so your application arrives before a posting gets crowded.
Three subscriptions to send one application. Or one plan that just sends it.

What dissatisfied AIApply reviewers say
Every software product has unhappy customers — ApplyBlast included. We read AIApply’s public Trustpilot reviews to find the complaints that come up most often. The packaging is the theme reviewers return to.
Paying for a product that doesn’t apply
The most common theme by some distance. Reviewers describe subscribing expecting auto-apply to be part of what they bought, then discovering that Auto Apply — and the tailoring that goes with it — are billed as separate subscriptions on top of Premium.
Charges they say they didn’t authorise
Several negative reviewers report unexpected charges, or a billing period that renewed on different terms from the one they thought they had signed up for.
Credits spent on irrelevant roles
Some reviewers say the jobs surfaced did not match their skill set, seniority or target titles — a particular problem when every application consumes a credit that was paid for up front.
Credits that disappear
AIApply’s help centre confirms unused credits expire if a subscription is cancelled and allowed to lapse, and that renewing later does not restore them. Reviewers describe discovering this after the fact.

Most of AIApply’s Trustpilot reviews are positive, and the complaints above are individual customer experiences rather than a guarantee of what any one user will encounter.
We include them because the pattern in the negative reviews is a pricing-structure problem rather than a bug — and that is a thing you can check for yourself before you buy.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AIApply alternative?
ApplyBlast. The difference is what one price actually buys. AIApply’s help centre states that Premium is USD 29/month, that Auto Apply is “sold as a separate subscription” priced by application volume, and that Auto Customize — the resume and cover letter tailoring for Auto Apply — is “an additional subscription on top of Auto Apply.” With ApplyBlast, automated applying and per-role tailoring are in the one plan, and the job board is free to search without an account before you subscribe to anything. Every job is scored and reviewed against your role, pay, seniority, location and experience before anything is sent, your resume, cover letter and application answers are tailored to that specific role, and applications are prioritized while the posting is still fresh.
Is auto-apply included in AIApply’s subscription?
No. AIApply’s own help centre describes Auto Apply as “sold as a separate subscription,” with plans tied to application volume — 100, 250, 600, 750, 1,000 or 2,000 applications — while Premium, the toolkit, is USD 29/month or USD 144/year. Tailoring those automated applications is a further subscription again, and Interview Buddy is a separate product at USD 19/month. With ApplyBlast there is one plan, and applying, screening, tailoring and tracking are all inside it.
Is ApplyBlast better than AIApply?
For getting applications sent — which is the entire job — yes. ApplyBlast includes auto-apply and per-role tailoring in a single plan with a published price, screens every job for fit before submitting rather than spending your money to find out it was wrong, sources and applies directly on company hiring systems, prioritizes fresh postings, and gives you a free job board you can browse without an account. AIApply charges separately for the applying, separately again for the tailoring, publishes no price for either, and expires your unused credits if the plan lapses.
Why do job seekers switch from AIApply to ApplyBlast?
Usually the bill, then the results. Reaching real applying volume on AIApply means stacking Premium, an Auto Apply plan and Auto Customize, with no published price to total in advance and unused credits that expire if the subscription lapses. ApplyBlast is one plan at a price you can read, and nothing evaporates if you pause. The second reason is what happens before an application goes out: ApplyBlast scores and reviews each job against your real criteria and rejects the ones that miss, so your allowance goes to roles worth pursuing instead of to discovering a bad match.
How much does AIApply cost compared to ApplyBlast?
AIApply publishes USD 29/month for Premium but does not publish a price for Auto Apply — its help centre lists only volume tiers — and Auto Customize is charged on top of Auto Apply again, so the real cost of automated, tailored applying is not something you can work out before you buy. ApplyBlast starts free: the job board is open to search without an account, so you can use the full index of more than 10 million jobs before you pay anything. Automated applying and per-role tailoring are then included together in one subscription rather than billed as three, with current rates shown at checkout.
Does a real person check the applications, or is it all AI?
Both, and that is the point. ApplyBlast applies across the major applicant tracking systems, including the ones that do not fit a standard form. When an application still cannot be completed automatically, whether that is an awkward portal, a multi-step form or a question no script anticipated, it goes to a manual review queue and a person on our team finishes it by hand. AIApply documents no equivalent step, so whatever its automation cannot handle is simply not applied to.
Do AIApply credits expire?
Yes. AIApply’s help centre states that credits “do expire if you cancel your subscription and let it lapse,” and that “renewing later will not bring back the expired credits.” ApplyBlast does not work that way: your plan allowance simply resets each period, so pausing a search costs you nothing you have already paid for.
What is ApplyBlast?
ApplyBlast is an AI job-search platform that tracks all of your applications in one place. In addition to search functionality, ApplyBlast finds jobs matching your criteria, customizes and sends resumes and cover letters, and answers application questions.
How does ApplyBlast find jobs?
ApplyBlast indexes more than 10 million jobs and discovers roughly 52,000 new jobs daily. We look beyond major job boards and scan company hiring systems directly. This process uncovers jobs before they appear on other sites and become crowded.
Does ApplyBlast automatically apply to jobs?
Yes. ApplyBlast is able to automatically apply to jobs matching your criteria. It is fully customizable, so you can control the process as much or as little as you like, including having the ability to check applications before they are submitted.
How does ApplyBlast decide which jobs to apply to?
We only apply to jobs we deem worthwhile. This means we score roles on fit according to your seniority, experience, custom preferences, role, salary and location requirements, and review them before applying. Any that do not meet our quality bar will be declined.
Does ApplyBlast tailor resumes for each job?
Yes. ApplyBlast is focused on customization. We build job-specific resumes, cover letters, and application responses using your real-world experience, rather than sending the same application to every job.
Does ApplyBlast track my applications?
Yes. Your auto-applied jobs will automatically appear in your tracker so you can manage your job search in one place. They may also update with new statuses as you get responses.
How many applications can ApplyBlast send?
Each subscription has its own limits. Launch has around 100 applications a month, Boost has 250 a month and Quarterly allows 1,000 a quarter. Each plan has its own individual daily limit. Also, regardless of plan, our Terms allow a maximum of 1,000 applications submitted per user, per calendar month, based on fair use.
Is there a free version of ApplyBlast?
Yes. The ApplyBlast job board is free — browse and search the full index of over 10 million jobs without an account and without a card. Automated applying, tailoring and the tracker are on paid plans; see the checkout page for current rates.
Can I save jobs and research companies on ApplyBlast?
Yes. Alongside ApplyBlast’s company profile pages, which list a company’s current openings so you can research an employer before applying, you can also save any job listing to revisit later.
How we researched this comparison
This comparison was written by ApplyBlast, so you should assume we have a point of view.
Everything stated about AIApply comes from AIApply’s own publicly available pages — their homepage, Auto Apply page, students page, the comparison pages they publish, their help centre documentation on pricing, billing and credits, and their Trustpilot profile. The packaging claims are quoted from that documentation. Where they describe a capability without documenting how it works, we say so rather than claiming it is missing.
ApplyBlast figures come from our own product, plans and Terms.
